How many of you shopped at BHG? AKA Be Home for Good things.

I cannot comprehend the name at first. But if none of you are aware, it was the now defunct SEIYU.

I seldom shop at BHG coz they have this image that doesn’t appeal to me. Dull lighting, messy display, unfamiliar brands. The most, if I shopped in BHG, would be the household department, but unfortunately, there isn’t a household department at Lot 1.

How I define Excellent is not the usual smiling, usual thank you and the usual finding the size for you.

Excellent is going the extra mile – smiling and saying thank you even if they did not close any deals. How many of you had the experience of a smiley promotor when you walked in but a sulky face, not even looking at you, when you walked out??? I had lor…..I had the habit of saying “Thank you” even if I did not buy anything from them. Some promotors simply looked away when I said that!!!!

Excellent is when they recommend you another alternative, buying from another store if they do not carry it. How many of you had the experience of promotor saying, “Sorry we don’t carry that”. FULL STOP.

Excellent is when they opened up new stocks just for you to try the colour or sizes, not guaranteeing that you will buy in the end. How many of you had been treated by promotors saying “If you want to me take it down from the mannequin, you have to buy it, if not we don’t take it down”. I had lor…..at BYSI, Citylink Mall.

The 2 promotors at BHG I encountered did utterly excellent service. They are the “old aunties” you see, probably in their 40s, one probably in their 50s already. Polite, courteous, willing to serve and willing to find out more for you.

I applaud them.

I walked out of BHG with 4 pairs of boxers for my “Ang”…..Thank You!
